Description: "Pennies from Heaven" performed by Marianne McGregor, a major new voice in the Scottish Jazz scene. This was from her concert at the Blue Lamp on 17th March during the 2022 Aberdeen Jazz Festival. On stage with her are renowned Jazz musicians Colin Steele on trumpet, Brian Kellock on piano, Jim Drummond on drums and Laurie Moore on double bass. "Pennies from Heaven" is a 1936 American popular song with music by Arthur Johnston and lyrics by Johnny Burke. It was introduced by Bing Crosby with Georgie Stoll and his Orchestra in the 1936 film of the same name and also recorded that year by Billie Holiday.
