Description: Parachute: A Conversation with Petit Biscuit Parachute is a very personal record. In the years since Presence came out, I’ve seen lots of new places and met (so many) new people. Before I started writing this album, I wasn’t confident writing lyrics that were super personal. I’m now bringing my own perspective to themes like love, war, death. I’ve always been kinda able to express emotions through composition but I’ve never gone that deep in my soul before than when I was writing Parachute. While it was cool to see the world, I really toured for two straight years with Presence. I realized afterward that I’ve done too much -- I minimized how much pressure I was putting on myself. My medicine in 2019 was taking time away to write this album. I needed to isolate myself to just focus on music and figure out what this album would sound like. Parachute was born. I needed to try new things and take some risks as much in my life than with how I was writing, but I knew that once I figured everything out I’d land safely.
