Description: Researchers at MIT have created a flexible, paper-thin speaker that could turn any surface into an audio source. The lightweight loudspeaker uses only a fraction of the energy of a regular speaker and can generate sound regardless of the surface it is attached to. In the future, it is hoped it could be used inside cars, for immersive entertainment or even as wallpaper.
