Description: Rediscover Pakistan with MANAKY! 🇵🇰 Manaky is your one-stop shop for all your travel resources in Pakistan (curated tours, rentals and local experiences)! manaky.com Welcome back to our Pakistani Street Food series! Today we are leaving the Hunza area and heading to Skardu, to experience more of what the North of Pakistan has to offer, including traditional Baltistan cuisine. We are starting the day at Upper Kachura Lake for a morning boat ride. There is nothing like deep blue water and being surrounded by high mountains. We followed the Indus River north to Soq Valley and came across a beautiful spot to enjoy pakora and chai. We drove past Skardu to reach Katpana Desert. This is one of the highest deserts in the world sitting at 2,226 meters, as it is one of the coldest as well. In winter, you can see snow on the dunes, while being surrounded by snow capped mountains. We were staying at Glamp Pakistan, in their comfortable tents on the sand dunes. The staff at Glamp Pakistan prepared us some local dishes including yak ribs. They were also kind enough to set us up a bonfire, and provided golf clubs for us to try golfing in the desert! A one-of-a-kind experience!!!
