Description: Join us as we transform our boring beige kitchen into a bold and exciting new space! A little back story is required: When we started renovations on the kitchen in our new house I had a STRONG vision of how I wanted it to look and feel. The tile I ordered for our “statement wall” was suppose to give the space a super modern vibe with some dramatic texture😍 But the tile looked DRAMATICALLY different in person and I would like to argue wasn’t the correct tile🤔 they were just night and day in style and the tile we received had a very dated vibe that we knew wouldn’t work! Because it was a special order from a local hardware store we were unable to return it and just had to find a way to make it work. We have now painted it 6 TIMES in an attempt to find the right fit to pull the space together and it’s brought us to black. I found picking a colour to paint the tile was extremely challenging because of the texture in it. It could look tacky really easily and the colour of our cabinets really limited what we could do😅 We had previously tried white, medium blue, navy blue, white again and then beige. Black just felt right after considering the limited options left. And I really love how it brought certain aspects of the space together and adds a beautiful moody vibe🥰 What do you think?! We haven’t finished pulling everything together yet as it’s HELLA expensive to renovate a space in full🤑 how do people afford it?! 🤯 lol But I know we will get there and I’m looking forward to adding more to the space and seeing it come together more🖤 Would you guys like to see more content like this?
