Description: Our board and train dogs working on their “out command” off high value food. The out command is for so many different scenarios. You can “out” a dog away from food, people, other dogs, or even a certain area of your house. This command is so important for dogs to learn because it can actually be the difference of life and death for many resource guarders. We work with families who can’t even hug their spouses because the dog will guard them. Out, just like any other command, is taught in a series with a lot of reps. Since this is all of these dogs’ first time outing off of raw food, we keep the leash on for additional guidance if they need it. Eventually the command will be off leash and on verbal cue only- but remember!! Anytime you add in a new distraction or take your dog to the next level of training, you need to provide them with more guidance. They learn in stages just like we do.
