Here is how you can do so in 4 different languages. 🇪🇸 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇧🇷. Keep in mind that most languages have a formal “you” that you would approach strangers with. However, depending on the culture the degree to how often people actually use that form varies a lot. For example in Spain 🇪🇸, the formal “you” is barely used even if you don’t know the person and approach them. It sounds kind of “outdated”, whereas in Latin America it’s one of the most common form of approaching people. And in Germany 🇩🇪 you wouldn’t approach a young person or peer with a formal “you”, however in France 🇫🇷 I see people doing that all the time when strangers my age refer to me with a “vous” instead of “tu”.
