Description: Hello again! This is my second piece! Really got into the airbrushing with this one, and I included it in the film. Details on the process of making Nooshy: This piece took more than twice as long as The Fiend. It was enormously time consuming. I thought, naively, that if it was smaller, it would be faster. Nope. All the details took so much more time. Skin texturing, fingers, toes, nails, the wings - endless hours. The hands and feet were 3 hours, the wings were 1 and a half hours each. I switched up and used a Polymer based clay like Sculpey, called Fimo, for the head and spine spikes, and the wings. This stuff is very useful, but much different to work with than ceramic based clay. It bakes hard, so it's less brittle, and semi flexible, like a hard plastic. The difficulty was, with the wings for example, it's sticky, and the details get quickly lost from compression, as you're repeatedly turning it over and over again to 'redo' the details you just sculpted in. Putting it in a vice wasn't an option, as it needs some support from the underside. It just takes a lot of patience... a lot of patience... Airbrushing was a lot of fun! Learned a lot! I used Vallejo paints, Midnight Blue, Blue, Aquamarine Blue, Gory Red (mixed with Midnight blue for back spikes for minor purple hue), Ghost Grey (for horns and nails), and Lunar Yellow mixed with plain white (1 to 8 ratio, respectively). And yes, the Masking Fluid worked like a charm on the glass eyes. Brillaint. Please like and subscribe if you're enjoying these. I will keep making more as long as I'm generating the interest and support.
