The good news is Tesla is honoring FSD price of $7,000 if the reservation holder moves their reservation to another current Model Y variant if they added FSD to their LR RWD Model Y order back in 2019. Tesla Collision Repairs: Tesla will now offer collision repair. Tesla said "Your Tesla Service Center can fix minor dents, scuffs, scratches, suspension and axle damage, front & rear bumpers, hoods, lift gates and side mirror caps, along with doors, wheels and all glass repairs." Tesla Recalls 135,000 Model S and Model X Vehicles: Tesla is recalling certain 2012-2018 Tesla Model S and 2016-2018 Model X vehicles with a center display equipped with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. When the 8GB flash memory device for the center display reaches lifetime wear, the eMMC controller will no longer be able to maintain the integrity of the file system, causing a failure in some of the center display functions such as loss of rearview camera display, defrost/defog control settings, and exterior turn signal lighting. New 12v Lithium-Ion Battery: Elon revealed that the refreshed 2021 Model S & Model X come with a new lithium-ion 12V battery instead of the old lead-acid 12V battery. This auxiliary battery powers the lights, display, windows, and more. The main reason for the change to lithium-ion is to match the life expectancy of the main battery pack and offer higher capacity. The old 12v battery was known to be a very popular failing component for a lot of Tesla vehicles not long into the life of the vehicle itself. We don’t know if the Model 3 or Model Y will get the new 12v lithium ion battery. Tesla’s New Supercharger Factory: Tesla’s Supercharger network is one of the most important benefits. Currently there are 2,000+ Supercharger stations & 20,000+ Supercharger stalls. The new Supercharger factory in Shanghai will produce 10,000 V3 Supercharger stalls per year which would increase the current stalls by 50% in its first year. This makes the benefit of owning a Tesla even more justified by having an even larger Supercharger network to keep up with the increasing amount of Teslas on the road. Tesla new model early launch project: Tesla received environmental report approval for Gigafactory Shanghai that shows new manufacturing processes have been added to the project and may indicate not only that the company has already developed a new model, but also intends to begin production soon. The project will add manufacturing facilities for Model 3, Model Y and "related derived models." The report mentions that the new model referred to in the document will be produced in China, which is the “new model early launch project.” The new model could be the future $25,000 Tesla that the company announced at Battery Day.
