It is NOT a 'no makeup, makeup' type of highlighter, its definitely a true highlighter that gives the high points of your face amplified glow! For that reason I wouldnt use it all over your face, or mix it with your foundation (unless you like a shimmering base!). It contains lots of small, twinkly multi-coloured pearls so in full on, direct strong sunlight your high points will look fully glowing, whereas in low light or flat day light etc it will give more of a subtle sheen.
