Description: Interested in my 3 best tips for your 2022 beauty routine? Well, in this video I’m talking feet, dental hygiene and scalp skincare. Yes - SCALP skincare. Head and Shoulders have a very exciting new launch - the world’s number one bestselling shampoo brand have launched Derma X Pro, a haircare range that not only tackles the root cause of dry and itchy scalps but intensely nourishes the scalp to pack the moisture back in. I love this range; as someone who has intermittently suffered with itchiness on the scalp (over 50% of the population have a dry or itchy scalp so I’m not alone in my plight!) I’ve often tried to alleviate the problem with moisturising shampoos but to no great effect. I didn’t think that the original Head and Shoulders was a range for me as I assumed it would be quite stripping: Derma X Pro answers the need for a nourishing haircare range that also effectively tackles dandruff and a dry, itchy scalp. I should add that I’ve had instant success with Derma X Pro personally: it left my hair incredibly soft and manageable with that sort of silky weightiness that makes it look healthy and groomed. The rinse-off balms in the range are particularly interesting; really great nourishment to the scalp to help replenish the weakened skin barrier and easy to rinse off, with no greasy residue. It feels more like skincare than haircare and I love that the focus is the scalp SKIN and not the hair, it really makes you think about the health of your scalp differently. Derma X Pro is available now - boots.com/head-and-shoulders-dermaxpro-soothe-anti-dandruff-scalp-balm-hair-treatment-145ml-10307054 - the shampoo and conditioner are £6.99 and the balms cost £9.99 each. Any questions, ask below and I’ll attempt to answer! In this video I also talk about dental hygiene and how it’s so easy to assume you’re doing everything correctly. I’m a big advocate of seeing a hygienist every now and then. It’s expensive (seems to always be more expensive than seeing the dentist for some reason!) but if you can stretch to it even every few years than I think that it can keep you on track with what you’re supposed to be doing. I was missing out one weird section of my teeth for some reason and would never have realised it myself… And then I finish off with feet. And my new “weekly sandpapering” habit. Rather than waiting until late spring to take off half of my foot skin and leave myself hobbling I’m attempting the “little and often” approach. I have this amazing battery sander that I really enjoy using but beginning to realise that maybe I’m not responsible enough to be trusted with it: I always go over the top! So little and often, gently gently with my manual foot file is probably the way forward. I also treated myself to a gel pedicure and might keep up with that even though it annoys me that the polish on the little toes grows out in a matter of weeks and stays on the big toes for about seven months!
