Description: NANTUCKET CRANBERRY PIE RECIPE: escoffieronline.com/nantucket-cranberry-pie Ingredients: 2 cups frozen cranberries ¾ cup chopped pecans 2/3 cup sugar plus additional 1 cup sugar for paste 1 cup AP flour 4 oz (1 stick) butter, melted 2 eggs 1 tsp almond extract ¼ tsp salt Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350F. 2. Using a store-bought or homemade pie crust, roll out on a floured surface and place in a pie dish. Trim off excess crust. 2. Add berries, nuts and the first quantity of sugar. Mix well. 3. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl to form a paste and spread evenly on top. 4. Bake at 350F for about 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, checking intermittently. Allow to cool before serving.
