Description: Today we are taking a look at my solar system in my ambulance! The overall decrease in price on solar panels is fantastic compared to when I first started in 2009. There are four major components that you will need for any solar system: solar panels, an inverter, a charge controller and batteries! In my ambulance I decided to put more solar on the roof than I would ever need, so it is bit of overkill. With two 100amp Battleborn lithium batteries, I have never run out of power! I have four 180W Bouge RV Solar panels on my roof and they have been working great as well! The first two main considerations you want to decide are: 1) How much can you spend? 2) How much space do you have on your roof? The average amount that should be good for most people is approx 360W of solar panels.
