Hank is a great artist for beginner musicians as the harmony is fairly basic, but that also shows that you can create a incredible and beautiful song with three basic and simple chords. This song loosely follows a 12 bar blues format but it wouldn't really be considered a blues song as the 1 chord ins't a 7 and there isn't a call and response vocal phrase but rather a more traditional style of melody. This tutorial will walk you through how to play the chords, the strum pattern and after putting all those pieces together we will also break down the melody note for note as well so you can play an instrumental version, compose a chord melody version, or you can play just the melody to help you learn how to to sing the song.
