Description: SUBSCRIBE: bit.ly/1dKbiT4 A mother in India fears for her daughter with an abnormally large head which has doubled in size and turned their lives upside down. Maria Marak, 25, from a small village in Tripura, north eastern India, is devastated that her second daughter three-year-old Reshmi Marak suffers from a rare disease called Hydrocephalus, which is a disorder causing cerebral fluid to build up in the brain. Even though Reshmi was born normal her head showed symptoms of abnormalities after she was just a month-old. Her head now has the circumference of approximately 68cms but remarkably, she can still balance herself and talk. ‘She was only a month old when we noticed her head growing,’ Maria said. ‘It was extremely soft to touch. We knew there was something wrong with her but we were scared. We didn’t know how to cope with it. It was heartbreaking A donation page has been set up to raise money for Reshmi's treatment: ketto.org/fundraiser/reshmiappeal Filmed and Edited by Tanzeel Ur Rehman Get the latest headlines: stories.coverasiapress.com Like us on Facebook: facebook.com/CoverAsiaPress Follow us on Twitter: twitter.com/coverasiapress Follow us on Instagram: instagram.com/coverasiapress Please contact news@coverasiapress.com to licence this copyright footage.
