All tools have 5 years from date of manufacture or from date of proof of purchase. Batteries have 2 and 3 year depending on the model. Thoughts: 5 years really isn't a long time but I'm impressed by the service. 2 weeks would really hinder a daily contractor and they would need backup tools for sure. However, you can look at it from the point that they shouldn't have broken so easy to begin with. I think Milwaukee comes out with some neat tools with tons of power but don't think their price matches the lower quality that you receive vs Makita or Dewalt. Their price obviously reflects their willingness to replace tools so easily. So you pay for it up front essentially. Don't get me wrong Makita and Dewalt make some poor quality tools but overall I think Dewalt matches their price point better and Makita gives the best bang for the buck. I have not had to test those as nothing has broken......YET. I like them ALL that's why I try to own the best from each.
