Description: The Meyers Manx dune buggy is a small recreational automobile, designed initially for desert racing by Californian engineer, artist, boat builder, and surfer Bruce F. Meyers. "I'm an artist and I wanted to bring a sense of movement and gesture to the Manx. Dune buggies have a message: FUN. They're playful to drive and should look like it. Nothing did at the time." - Bruce F. Meyers The Manx line dominated dune racing in its time, breaking records immediately, and was eventually released as street models, until the company's demise due to tax problems after Meyers. However, in 2000, new vehicles inspired by the original Manx buggy have been produced by Meyers founded, Meyers Manx, Inc. in Valley Center, California. The new company offered the Classic Manx series, a limited edition of 100. On November 9, 2020, Bruce and Winnie Meyers announced that they sold their company to Trousdale Ventures, and its name would be Meyers Manx, LLC. Sadly, Bruce Meyers died in California on February 19, 2021, at the age of 94. But he’ll always be remembered for his legendary Meyers Manx dune buggies and the fun and excitement they generated. His Manx Dune buggies are still driven, raced, and enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people today! Are you one of those people?!
