Description: Tim turns a Mega sized platter from a crotch piece of Black Walnut. The tree was felled by a tornado and it inspired Tim to 'think outside the box' in order to create a unique turning. Tim turned the bottom of the platter and sanded it to reveal the beautiful grain of this magnificent tree. Then he left the rough chainsaw and turning marks on the top surface to tell the story of the tree's violent end.
