Media Replacement has arrived in Motion Graphics Templates. This new feature (as of 2021) has opened a new world of possibilities in not only templates but all after effects projects. If you have not used this feature before, I hope this introduction to the concept can get you started. Imagine that most layers can now be dynamically changed without needing new compositions. Clients can swap out a logo, certainly. Or change footage in a motion montage. That's cool too. But because any layer can be swapped out, that means that any source or base for effects can also be changed, so the possibilities for procedural graphics just got a whole lot more modular.
