Description: Instagram: instagram.com/cosmasbauer This is the predecessor of the Bowden-actuated blast gate system I showed you in last week’s video. The mechanism is a bit simpler and works more like a classic catch mechanism. The neat thing about it is that it locks solidly into place when the handle is pushed down but then frees itself up as soon as the handle is pulled up. The blast gate on this design is also completely different as the slider pivots around a pin instead of going in a straight line like on a traditional blast gate.
