Description: With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, we find the following situations simultaneously true: • schools are closed • students are learning remotely from home • many states have issued "shelter at home" policies What does this mean? • kids and adults spend a lot of time indoors • we need to look after our physical health • teachers and parents need creative ideas for projects Here is one of those ideas. Using the staircase to my basement, and with the power of math, a challenge emerged in my mind. The challenge: 100 climbs, up and down. As my climbs increase, the number of steps I take rival some of the world's tallest and most iconic landmarks. Students and parents alike are invited to use this video as a home school project idea, or let it spark new ideas within you. Hope it inspires you, because we're in this together. Learning should always be fun and connective.
