Description: Meet your newest instructors: Siblings, Olympians, and authors, Maia & Alex Shibutani. In their first-ever online class, the “ShibSibs” teach you about coexistence, friendship, and how to survive and thrive with your sibling(s) while together during quarantine. This is a MasterClass parody sketch that we made last week. For as long as we can remember, we’ve been asked about our unique friendship and sibling bond. We always receive comments and messages like: “How do you guys get along so well?”, “Oh I could never work with my sister/brother”, “My brother hates me lol”, “Your parents must be so proud”, etc. Then the pandemic began. We saw a noticeable uptick in comments, messages, and emails re: getting along with a sibling, or messages from parents (jokingly) asking if we, or our parents, had any tips on keeping the peace during this uncertain time. SO - we wrote this sketch, shot the video remotely (we’re still in different locations) and edited it over the course of the past week while working on other projects and raising money for @getusppe. Then, we saw SNL ran a really funny MasterClass: Quarantine Edition parody sketch starring Chloe Fineman this past weekend. We were bummed that they released their version before we got ours out... but they’re definitely different and well, they’re SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, so we’re in really good company. You can learn how to layer hoodies from Timothée Chalamet AND learn how to get along with your sibling from us.
