Description: Some of the civilians who have spent weeks trapped and bombarded alongside Ukrainian soldiers in the Azovstal steel plant finally managed to escape on buses to Zaporizhzhia. Others are still holed-up in the plant, which is surrounded by Russian forces. Before arriving in Zaporizhzhia, the evacuees were first taken to a temporary accommodation centre in the village of Bezimenne, which is under the control of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic. Meanwhile, the Russian military said it had resumed strikes on the Azovstal steel plant after a ceasefire broke down.
