Description: I had a nice conversation recently while driving some folks home working for uber. This happened between the Parkland and Santa Fe shooting's. I thought it would be appropriate to share now. I want to make it clear that I don't have the answers- which is why I purposefully didn't make any specific claims. I'm just a dude on youtube who wants to help solve this problem, like a lot of people. it's hard to say "do this" or "do that" because this is such a complex issue. I don't think compromising the 2nd amendment is the answer, although I believe it is too easy for potentially irresponsible people to get access to unnecessarily powerful weapons. I do believe this is a mental health issue and that the media sensationalizing the issue perpetuates the problem. there are a lot of issues at hand, and there is a balance that needs to be found in each of these issues. there are a lot of steps we can take that can be decided by people qualified to make these actions that can save lives and reduce the amount of blood shed without sacrificing our values. The only thing I know for sure is that we need to keep this conversation going until we are able to change things in a way that our country sees appropriate. I can help with that, and that is why I wanted to share this conversation. We all want solutions, and it's easy to feel helpless in the face of this and it may feel like we are going in circles, but there are things we can do. And that action will come only after enough awareness, education and discussion happens. thanks for watching!
