Description: This week I take my first stab at knife making and forging the spider knife with a REAL orb weaver spider cast in epoxy resin in the handle. (I'm also doing a GIVEAWAY for this knife, details below) This is my first forging project, and I got some help from my buddy David Laurent from Made By Laurent. He was crucial in helping my learn to forge being my first time making a knife. I put an orb weaver spider into the handle using Total Boat Thickset epoxy. I used walnut left over from the scorpion axe. The guard is made from a piece of bronze bar over a piece of steel plate. The knife iOS made from a truck leaf spring which is 5160 carbon steel. The knife is a hidden tang construction. I used my Ameribrade 2x72 belt grinder to make this knife.
