Description: live webinar with Jimmy Diresta: rlnk.cc/frankmakeswebinar I have been working on a coffee table prototype. The idea was to make a cross-section of a tree trunk into a coffee table and carve the legs in the bottom of the table top. The idea being that there is an interplay between the live edge natural form of the coffee table top and the precisely CNC carved forms of the legs. These two parts of the form would play together - the top being natural and the bottom being highly artificial. I made the coffee table top out of a section of fir I cut up almost exactly a year ago. The legs are 3 different experiments. All 3 were turned on the 4th axis rotary CNC.
