Description: Railway Disasters can be due to Track Defect, Dumper colliding with Railway Track, Signal Failure etc. All this is communicated to Mumbai Central Division. Once the Top Officials from Mumbai visit the accident site, only after that Temporary Speed Restriction (TSR) is imposed. Till that time, all trains come to an unscheduled halt. The Station Master/Superitendent prepares a letter of issue found, takes copies of it and distributes it to Loco Pilot/Loco Inspector and Train Manager. From Pune Duronto Express till Kutch Express or even late evening, all trains had to halt and got delayed. Once officials from Mumbai visited the accident site, this procedure of distributing copies ended. It was a ultra stressful session for all station staff at Palghar. The description of my coverages can be read as follows; 1) 12263 Pune Hazrat Nizamuddin Duronto Express with Super Offlink BZA WAP-7# 39154 comes to an unscheduled halt at Palghar. BL WAP-4# 22540 called Rajhans with Saurashtra Janta Express waits in loop line for Duronto overtake. 2) After 3mins, Pune Duronto Express starts accelerating and also overtakes Saurashtra Janta Express. I was bit nervous but somehow gathered courage to capture this rare event at such a busy station. 3) Just like Pune Duronto Express had to go through all this, even 22474 Bandra Terminus Bikaner Weekly Superfast Express had to face similar procedure of taking unscheduled halt. BRC WAP-7# 37350 starts accelerating after loco pilot gets a copy of the disaster from Railway Staff. 4) Immediately I boarded a Local Train to Umroli. 19577 Tirunelveli Jamnagar Express with SBI WDP-4D Beautifully curving, honking, speeding and braking down at Umroli. It started braking down from 110kph, as there was issue reported couple of Kms from here. Not only this was enough, there were speed restrictions between Palghar and Kelve Road too. So Kelve Road to Boisar, about 20kms was full of speed restrictions. Train punctuality went for a toss towards Vadodara and Mumbai both ways. Camera: SONY FDR AX700
