Description: Ever since the play sand craze, companies have tried to make a follow up product that is as appealing. Recently, two products emerged, mad mattr by waba fun and morph by orb factory. Both of the compounds are trying to compete with play doh which is made by Hasbro and they claim that they never dry out. Mad Mattr claims on its packaging: Wheat, Gluten and Casein free – just in case you eat it Easy to shape and mold – I don’t think this is true, it is actually quite hard Cleans up Easy – not true either, it crumbles easy, but I guess it is because I am in dry climate(see below) Never Dries out – Though it doesn’t dry out, it gets drier Dry climates make Mad Mattr harder and humid climates makes it softer. Modeling compound is not intended to be eaten – but why make it fit vegan and gluten free diets?? Morph claims on its packaging: Morph gets fluffier the more you play with it super light – very true Never dries out – true so far, after a day out, it felt exactly the same morph is not intended to be eaten – but it looks so yummy like taffy Children should be supervised during play and encouraged to wash hands before and after use. Color transfer may occur, use caution around light colored fabrics- WHAT!!?!!?! Goodbye light clothes Overall, both of these compounds seem different enough to be their own. Mad mattr requires much more patience to watch it slowly separate from itself. Morph is more stretchy and malleable. I would say if I was making a model of anything, I would definitely use morph. I think they need to make a compound to spray it so that the figures you make become permanent.
