Description: ParrotWizard.com/Videos Check out how Rachel, the Blue and Gold Macaw, pins her eyes whenever she hears familiar words. When this macaw hears a word she understands, her eyes pin every time. Eye pinning is when the pupils suddenly get really small down to a point. It's a sign of excitement in parrots. It doesn't necessarily mean good or bad, just that something strongly has the parrot's attention. In certain cases, it can be where something upsets the parrot very much and it will bite. But, it can also be where something interests the parrot and the parrot is really thrilled. In this case, Rachel is excited to hear words that she knows and says like "Hello," "Rachel", and "I'm a Macaw." So check out this video and see what words Rachel understands by watching for eye-pinning.
