Description: This portable GPS camera drone includes a three axis gimbal for stable video. Find it here on flash deal (deal expires May 31, 2012) shrsl.com/3huai Pros - Folding drone with backpack carrying case makes for great portability. - GPS/GLONASS with automatic return to home and landing on command, and loss of signal. - Durable brushed motors. - 7.6V 3000mah smart battery provides up to 25 minutes of flight time. My flight time was less, but I'm not sure that I had the battery fully charged. - Camera takes 1920 x 1080p resolution video at 30 fps. Photos are screen grabs of this video, interpolated (electronically enlarged) to higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. There is a second 1080p belly camera capable of taking photos and videos directly beneath the drone. - The forward camera is mounted to a three axis stabilized gimbal. Electronic image stabilization is also included to provide extra stability. - FPV video may be viewed on your phone using the "LS drone-wifi" app, available on Google Play here bit.ly/LSdronewifi and on the Apple App Store here apple.co/36OBzC5 . The app also provides advanced flight mode features of follow me, circle me, waypoints, and ray flying (up and away). Cons - The app and all of its capabilities requires that your phone has 802.11ac WiFi. It is very important to verify that your phone does indeed have 802.11ac WiFi before purchasing. - Weighs 347 grams with installed battery. This drone will require registration in most countries. - No onboard memory card recording capability. Video can only be recorded to your phone only via the drone's WiFi signal. Recorded video will be frozen if flown out of WiFi range of the drone (max video range for my phone was just less than 200 meters). Also, the app will not automatically reconnect if flown out of WiFi range. - Gimbal can lose level orientation calibration during the compass calibration. Regaining level calibration requires restarting the drone. Fortunately the compass calibration only needs to be done once for a flying location. - Some advertisements for this drone currently infer that it has optical flow capability. Unfortunately this feature did not seem to work with my drone. But it might have been because I was in low battery state when I tried it. - Flight time was significantly less than advertised 25 minutes (I got about 16 minutes). - Drone flew toward me, and almost collided with me when follow me was activated.
