Umbrellas, softboxes, beauty dishes, octa boxes, parabolic dishes, brolly boxes, strip boxes, snoots, grids, barn doors, and many more Each one controls and modifies the spread of light differently. While there is an easy way to determine which to use — I'll share this tip during this episode — Budget is also a factor because these modifiers can be quite expensive. Unfortunately there is no one single modifier that is good for everything — but there are ways that you can save a lot of money and work with fewer modifiers.
