Description: Welcome back for yet again another surprise Attack on Titan hair video! Today, we’ll be looking at the Levi Ackerman undercut hairstyle which was HIGHLY requested in the comments of my Eren Yeager hairstyle video I did a while back. And yes, I’m aware I still owe you guys an updated version on the Eren Yeager man bun since it was revealed on the show but I wanted to wait a little longer perhaps until part 2 of the season 4 comes out. I’m so annoyed that they didn’t just release it all at once! I procrastinated for a while on the best way to execute this undercut haircut style because a) I don’t have an undercut myself which makes things a bit tricky from the get go and b) up until filming the video I knew pretty much nothing about cutting hair as I’m only trained in styling. So when I went searching on the internet to get some ideas for bringing this video to life, I found a Levi Ackerman hair tutorial from a creator here on YouTube called Thesalonguy. A lot of you may know who he is, he makes great hair cutting tutorials and the Levi Attack on Titan haircut he did was pretty spot on and after watching his video I decided that the best way for me to execute this video concept was to invite my hairdresser friend Matt Dillon over to help me transform one of my mannequin heads into Levi Ackerman and teach me a thing or two about cutting hair while we were at it… And I’ll have you know most of the cutting for this hairstyle was indeed done by me with Matt overseeing and correcting any of my mistakes haha… There were lots, believe me. 1 thing I noticed in The Salon Guy’s Levi Ackerman undercut hairstyle tutorial was he tried (& did very well) to recreate the Levi Ackerman undercut to a T from the undercut, the high points around the ears all the way to the piecey ends and it turned out AMAZING. BUT, although the way he cut it was amazing and it looked great on the mannequin, you gotta remember those piecey ends are now piecey for good and a lot of the time in real life it can make your hair look a little bit thin, little bit lifeless and depending on how bothered you are to style it daily to a T, the exact Levi cut might now be the most realistic. So with that, I wanted to make my version of this style a little more realistic and versatile by thinning out the ends a little bit so we still get that wispy Levi feel but leave most of the bulk behind so if we decide later we wanna switch it up and go for a more bold style later, we can do that too without looking like we have a random cosplay haircut gone wrong haha.
