Description: This invited talk was delivered during the International Design Conference on Sustainability and Design hosted by IDC, IIT Bombay. Prof. Rao is a senior faculty at the Industrial Design Centrex at IIT Bombay. Some of the work involves the development of tools for the bamboo craftsmen, research into natural finishes in bamboo, design of products using bamboo and conducting training workshops for bamboo craftsmen.
