Description: Life can be challenging for our hand raised orphans but it's important for them to learn as many life skills as possible before they are released back to the wild. Grape plucking may seem relatively simple to us but to a juvenile flying-fox, there's a lot to learn. Fortunately, bats are fast learners and they typically hang at a distance and watch the behaviour of older animals before attempting a new task. So it was with Mr Orange collar but on this occasion he was unsuccessful and he may have missed out on his grape entrée but his main meal was certainly enjoyed.
