Description: I am very honored and delighted to have world-renowned trainer Brigitte van Gestel as a special guest on this channel with a tutorial for training service dogs. Brigitte is not only known for her skills as a service dog trainer but also for her talents in pet dog training, Competition Obedience and Canine Freestyle. I was lucky enough to host one of her seminars on Obedience when I was living in Sweden and since that seminar my skills at training heelwork increased by 1000 times. Brigitte has the ability to break up the training steps so the dog and human find the learning process extremely easy and reinforcing yielding extremely reliable results. She was one of my earliest training inspirations over 16 years ago and she still is one of my biggest inspirations in my training. Brigitte van Gestel is the driving force behind Canine Company, which is a unique training center for dogs and handlers where individual attention and customization are of paramount importance. Brigitte van Gestel has been training various types of dogs for years with a mission on behalf of KNGF guide dogs. She is also active at a high level in dog dance and English obedience with her own Border Collies. Canine Company is located in Hilvarenbeek and, in addition to a theory room and beautiful interior space (8 x 12 metres), also has an artificial grass pitch (10 x 15 metres). The lessons that Canine Company provides have mainly an individual character, so that the exercises can be tailored to the possibilities and challenges of the dog and handler.In addition, thematic workshops are offered in small groups.
