For this you will need a plastic sheet and a large jar lid or any plain stainless steel lid . I will show you the easiest way to get the spikes . Place and secure an ohp sheet on the lid with some sellotape , keep this aside. Melt the chocolate. Pls see my previous video on how to melt chocolate. Learn the correct way to melt compound chocolate at home with double boiler(steam) or microwave youtu.be/V726JdY8FaY Now try to cool down the chocolate by gently mixing it, it should become thick and runny . Lightly grease your table top and place another ohp sheet on it . Put a few spoons of chocolate on the lid .Quickly invert the lid and place it on the 2nd ohp sheet. Keep lifting the lid with quick motions until you can see long spikes. Now it’s crucial that u don’t turn the lid over but hold for a few minutes until the chocolate sets. Turn over and set in the freezer for jus a few minutes. Remove gently and store in an airtight container for a few hours to harden fully.Use this beautiful and unusual garnish on your cakes.
