Description: #korpiklaani #niemi "Niemi was one of the first songs for this album. I had a feeling after ' Kulkija ', that a next album could be the fastest and hardest ever in Korpiklaani's history. I looked at my Flying V, picked it up and here we are!" - Jonne Listen to Niemi on the streaming service of your choice: nblast.de/Korpiklaani-Jylha Pre-order the album Jylhä here: nblast.de/KorpiklaaniJylha DIRECTOR'S WORD In this video I just wanted to capture the band's insane energy on stage. Niemi – The Cape Lake Bodom 1960, “Bloody Pentecost”. Four youngsters, Irmeli Björklund, Anja Mäki, Seppo Boisman, and Nils Gustafsson were the target of a murderer on their camping trip. The sole survivor was Nils Gustafsson, who was badly injured. The summery triple murder on the lake side shocked the whole Finland. In the story, the narrator is on a meadow near the lake spending a summer morning, when the surroundings come alive and the narrator hears the call “Come to the end of the cape, terrible things have happened”. Everyone who heard the call quickly heads towards the murder cape. The story is carried by stagnant time and the momentary nature portraits. The murders of Lake Bodom remain unsolved. Yllä veden väreet soivat, on haalennut kannen hohto päällä päivän päättyvän. Eikä valvo turvan tieni, on hiljainen murhaniemi. ”Tulkaa niemen päähän, niemen nenään katsomaan, siellä päivä ei paista. Tulkaa niemen päähän, niemen nenään kuiskimaan hiljaa verihelluntaista.” TRANSLATION: A smoke touches the birch trunk, when the scent of summer promises a lot. Long days drive clouds far away from my face. Am I imagining The Bloody Pentecost, when I hear the beater yells like an echo from afar: “Come along to the head of the cape to look, the day don’t shine here. Come along to the head of the cape to silently whisper about The Bloody Pentecost.” The aspen swings at the alley of the moon, its branches look the shimmer. Leaves still rest as young, but in the morning, they molder as soil. The beard moss reaches towards the passers, but it could never catch them. Its fingers are lengthened from the days, but it'll dry at the branches. Still the twigs swear the path: “it was here like pressed on the ground.” And the beater goes ahead, we are on his heels. Above the water ripples are chiming, the shine of the firmament has faded away over the ending day. And my safety path doesn’t stay awake, the murder cape is silent.
