Description: #korpiklaani #mylly #jylhä #folkmetal Finnish folklore tells the story of a man’s journey to the mill. On his way, he sees a figure sitting on a fence, a “devil” with a hoof as a foot. The sight scares the man and he freezes in place. The character disappears and the man remembers hearing the story of the devil living in the mill. Eventually, the man overcomes his fears and continues his journey. At the mill, he feels he is finally together with the past and the present. Fences rot, fall, but the spirit and stories remain, over generations and over ages. The video tells us about our character's journey to the mill with the last of his grains. "Devil" is the deceiver, who is tempting the man to give up his grains by appealing to his weaknesses. Kerran istuva on aitaan nojaten, siinä vaiti seuraa myllymatkaan kadoten. Eikä etene päivän ruska ruumenista, seisovat kärryt käyntiajan aikana, ja niitä minä yksin pelkään myllylle viedä, sillä yksi on kadonnut ja toinen on tiellä. Halkovat hallassa kulkua veräjälle vastaani: ne päivällä painuivat. Haihtuvat hyhmässä jälkeni kärryjeni kannoille: ne päivällä painuivat. Riippuu aidan riuku pientareella, kunnes maatuu tahtoon kaskimaan. Liikkuu hiipuvainen kuin sateella, hiipii, kaihtaa jokaista askeltaan luona myllyn. *** TRANSLATION *** Also I can come under a morning dew, it’s rarely seen who walks with the hoofs. Once he sits and leans on the fence, there he silently follows and disappears to the mill-journey. And the colors of the day will not progress from the straws, at the time of gait the carriage stands still and I’m afraid to lead it to the mill, because one is disappeared and the other one is on the road. They walk in the frost to the gate against me: they fell at the day. At heels of carriage my footsteps fade away in the rime: they sank at the day. Fence rope hangs at the edge of the road since it molds to the will of the birch. The fading one moves like in rain, it sneaks and shuns every step of his at the mill.
