Description: KCRW's Young Creators Project is a three-month-long, submission-based series where musicians, poets, storytellers, and visual artists under the age of 21 can submit their work to KCRW for the chance to be featured. And April was all about poetry and storytelling! On April 27th, 2022, KCRW's Young Creators Project hosted an Ask Me Anything (AMA) with LA poetry scene leaders Matthew Cuban (Da Poetry Lounge, Street Poets Inc., author of 3032) and Rhiannon McGavin (author of Branches, Grocery List Poems). Check out the recording for some invaluable advice for poets of all levels, like tips for perfecting your performance style, and where to find the best poetry slams in LA.
