Gumboot dancing originated in South Africa as a way of communication but it can also be found in the United States in where it is know as Stomping. What this means is that you will be able to create awesome rhythms using your hands and feet! It is basically making music by using your body as the instrument. In the stomp classes you will learn about different beats and rhythms and you will learn some basic stomp dance moves. You will also learn about hand-eye coordination as you stomp with your feet and clap with your hands and then clap your feet with your hands!
