Description: Sample REEL presentation of John Koopman's portrayal of President George Washington. johnkoopmaniii.com ABOUT JOHN: Since 2006 I have had the honor of portraying General George Washington in many National Parks, State Parks and other historic sites all along the East Coast. I have also appeared in documentaries in that role. I am based in Connecticut. My impression is unique in that I own the most authentic reproduction made to date of the uniform worn by the General. My uniform, horse tack and other accoutrements were made by the same artisans who produced the new exhibit at the Mount Vernon Museum. According to research conducted for the new exhibit, which includes three life-size figures of Washington that were made based on the most up-to-date and accurate historical information available, my physique and dimensions are almost identical to that George Washington. I am in the process of procuring additions of civilian clothing to my Washington wardrobe collection, and these additions will be made to the same exacting standards as the uniform. Contrary to popular belief, during the Revolution Washington did not look like the senior statesman we see on the dollar bill.. He was in his 40’s and in his prime during the Revolution. So it is also in the interest of historical accuracy to portray the General as he truly appeared at that time. My horse resembles Washington’s warhorse, Nelson. Contrary to popular thought, Washington’s white horse, named Blue Skin, did not stand cannon fire well. Nelson, a chestnut colored horse, was one of the unsung heroes of the Revolution that Washington preferred to ride into battle. #lionheartfilmworks #uspresidents #presidentialhistory 🇺🇸👕🎖️** Find All Of Our Exclusive Patriotic & History-Oriented Merchandise Here - Every Sale Supports The Channel And Keeps Us "On The Air": teespring.com/stores/lionheart-filmworks ☕ If you appreciate our content and want to support us further, direct donations are always welcome at: buymeacoffee.com/lionheart PLEASE SUBSCRIBE, CLICK THE 'BELL' ICON FOR ALERTS ON NEW CONTENT - AND SHARE THIS VIDEO TO HELP US GROW AND KEEP HISTORY HAPPENING! lionheart-filmworks.com/store Some other videos you might like on our Channel: Medal of Honor Moment - Sergeant York: youtube.com/watch?v=ad9FWugOIyM 400 Evolution of the United States Army Uniform: youtube.com/watch?v=n3Q6RyDFAJI&t=21s Lt.
