Description: Portrait demonstration! This is one of my favorite ways to paint, and I've done videos that are variations on it in the past, and I'm using it as an excuse to play with some new paint. Jimi Hendrix has such a distinctive and cool face, and Jim Marshall took the reference photo nearly 50 years ago. When I'm working on a painting that is extremely difficult and I just have to power through it, I'll listen to Jimi's 15-minute version of "Voodoo Chile," and that always gives me the badass boost I need.
