Description: *** Personalize a moment in time under the stars!! underluckystars.com/mjsailing Use code MJSAILING to get 10% off your order!! *** We go about making our first half of our first daggerboard case, but things do not go according to plan. Matt and I are moving on to our first big construction project of our own, and that's our daggerboard cases. These are around 9 feet tall and 2.5 feet wide, and will sit on each side of our hull. Now that the weather is in the mid 50's (F) we have the perfect situation to be able to build them. Because each half required 8 layers of glass and around 130 oz of resin, we want to make sure we're familiar with the process, and do one test round on a miniature. Which turns out great!!! Then on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, we go to do the real thing. And - everything was going great!!!! - until it was time to add the vacuum pump to suck out all the extra air and compress the glass together. That's when things cracked and fell apart on us. We hope you enjoy!! Much love from Annapolis! Jessica, Matt & Georgie Link to our boat: maxcruisemarine.com/max42sc-sailing-catamaran Thank you SO MUCH to our Patrons.
