Description: What is the largest galaxy? For a long time, the largest has been IC 1101, around 4 million light years in diameter. But in recent weeks, there has been talk of a new, even larger galaxy, Alcyoneus, which is said to be more than 16 million light years in diameter! But is that what's really being proposed in the original paper detailing the discovery? Not exactly, because Alcyoneus is a Radio Galaxy.
