I talk a lot about speed bursts in my technique lessons, but in this lesson, I will detail a few ways of using speed bursts to create effortless speed. Besides showing Aaron some ways of slowly increasing the size of each speed burst, I will also talk about a very important aspect of speed which is the ability to assimilate a group of notes into the sensation of them being just one event. This might seem like a bit of mind games, and it probably is, but I feel this is the most important element of effortless speed. This is a feel thing so it will take practice, but hopefully the tips I give in this lesson will help you start to think of difficult guitar licks in a new way that will help you conquer them much faster. Thanks for submitting your video Aaron! Carl...
