Description: Brave New Films Mourns the Passing of Kathy Boudin. On Sunday, May 1st, it was reported that Kathy Boudin, the mother of San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, had died at the age of 78. In reaction to Kathy Boudin’s passing, Robert Greenwald, President of Brave New Films, issued the following statement: “In meeting Kathy Boudin for the first time, it was impossible not to be struck by the contradictions between the warm, wise, and very friendly person in front of me, and the caricature creation that some in the media painted her out to be. Kathy will be remembered for the real person that she was - a loving and adoring mother, grandmother and tireless fighter dedicated to improving the lives of incarcerated people. “In our time together, I was inspired by her level of compassion, her ability to understand people and politics past and present, and the deep love of family she felt. She lived with both the pain of her past actions, and the passion of a life to be lived.” ABOUT BRAVE NEW FILMS Robert Greenwald and Brave New Films (BNF) are at the forefront of the fight to create a just America.
