Description: Writing a summary in the IELTS Task 1 requires looking for key features, comparisons, and details. In this video, we look at two pie charts and assess what is necessary for the summary. We begin with the introduction paragraph, which is essentially a paraphrase of the task. Then we consider the overview statement, which is a look at the main feature(s) of the infographics. We then decide how to group information into two distinct body paragraphs; in this case we divide the information by the two years presented in the pie charts.
