Description: [ Warning: Do not watch if you are sensitive to animals being even potentiality in danger. ] I had a bit of fun with this video for Monday. As I'm sure you can see. Don't worry the baby goat was not hurt in any way. No contact was made at all and the Llama did not touch him. I was right there the whole time and kids are very pliable and Llamas only mean to scare off. He was not at great risk in this specific situation. I decided instead of a livestock guardian dog, to get a Llama instead. I'm happy with my choice after seeing what he did when a baby goat made the mistake of going into the wrong pasture! He had never seen the baby before and was on high alert right away! And without hesitation went to attack what he was not familiar with. Good Llama! Very happy with him and to see this. Once again, the baby goat was NOT injured. No contact was made at all. He is fine. It's a good lesson to be more mindful and he is one unruly kid, who will think twice next time. And the llama now having met this 'trespasser' will accept him and no longer try to trample over him. But look at those Llama moves? It's amazing in slow motion. The agile movements almost look like that of a predator-- I think a lioness comes to mind-- rather than a ruminate. Very cool! And what about that sound? That high pitched almost whale call? That's the Llama alert cry! It's eerily beautiful. Enjoy animals doing what nature adapted them to do. :) And turn this off if you are watching because you are hoping for an animal to be injured or otherwise viewing this in some disturbed manner. This was uploaded for education to show what llamas are capable of, how they behave, and how they can make a great alternative to getting a livestock guardian dog. It was also for a bit of humor.
