Description: What a blast! We were invited to come down to hunt with our buddy Derek on this trip for druzy quartz crystals and then calcite crystals. It was a huge success! We found all sorts of cool pieces to add to our collections. Druzy crystals, calcite clams, whelks, etc. The calcite forms as calcium carbonate is picked up by groundwater and deposited into the hollow space in the shell during or after fossilization.
