Description: This is the most intense cross-country drive I've ever done. 6 states. 5 days. 1,500 miles across Mexico and this is what happened... ► Start learning Spanish: TangerineSpanish.com Jordan and I have been traveling all across Mexico in my tangerine car for nearly 4 years now. Usually, we travel together but this time I'm driving back to the border with one of my best friends, Emma who is from Guadalajara, Mexico. On this road trip, I drove 1,500 miles (2,400 kilometers) and crossed 6 state borders. Why the rush? Normally, I would have loved to spend more time in each stopover city, but Emma had some school/work obligations to get back to. We made the best of our travels by trying tasty local food on the side of the road, going back to some of my old favorite restaurants from when we traveled to these cities in 2018, walking along the Pacific ocean beaches, watching amazing sunsets, and of course, dealing with all the bumps in the road along the way (both literally and figuratively). All throughout this video, I'll be giving tips for driving in Mexico: - Should you pay for toll roads in Mexico or take the free roads? - How to avoid scams when getting gas in Mexico - What happens at military checkpoints - How to pick the best hotel while traveling in Mexico (and more) At the end of this Mexico vlog, things got a bit rough for me, dealing with the emotions of selling my car, frustrations at the Nogales border crossing, and watching my tangerine-mobile (the Tangerine part of Tangerine Travels) be hauled away for good.
